PUT A LIMITER AFTER THIS VST - i recommend 'loudmax' it's free and super awesome/smooth and can limit very high dbs without clipping. anyway, this spring effect by xoxos is interesting - it's, imho, more of a digital sounding resonant reverb with spring-ish qualities. i feel it doesn't sound like a real spring reverb but is better used maybe as a sound design or tone generation experimental tool due to it's feedback qualities. your best bet is to use a free convolution reverb(i recommend sir1 or convologyXT) and one of the many free spring impulse responses floating about the internet(a la freesound.org).

Still one of the best sounding (free) spring reverbs, I know, if properly adjusted. (If not, you may get a lot of self-oscillation and feedback.)

The best spring reverb in freeware by quite a margin. Getting silly with settings can lead to instability. This doesn't happen with practical tweaking, but more because xoxos believed in wide parameter ranges.

WHOOOOAAAAAA. I tried fiddling about with this plugin and it seemed to suddenly do this freaky feedback thing which sent my mixer output shooting up to +100db. WTF. I'll stick to the VSTs that don't destroy my speakers, thanks.
