Sonigen modular gives you the freedom and flexibility of classic modular synthesis with high quality sound and efficient cpu usage.
- Fully modular with as many modules and patch cables as you want.
- A fast and intuitive user interface. Layout is mostly automatic, cables indicate signal flow, and our (unique as far as I know) dynamic input handling reduces the need for extra mixer modules, and also reduces screen wastage from unused input terminals / knobs.
- Modular voice and modular output effect processing both cleanly integrated in one window.
- Everything is processed at full sample rate, there is no lower "control" rate. This means pretty much anything can be plugged into anything else. It also means higher quality modulation control and processing.
- Just in time (JIT) assembly. The audio engine is written entirely in assembler, it is dynamically assembled and optimised in real time with no interruption in the audio processing. This allows a whole class of optimizations that cant be done with pre-compiled binaries.

Work great on Reaper
These VST dont work in the modern daws today do they?
It works well in Cakewalk by Bandlab. You can make it work in any DAW if you use a bit bridge software. It wouldn't make much sense, though. This project has been discontinued. So, there won't be any updates.

It's a really really good synth. But then it crashes, and you have to reinstall it. If you, have it in your track it will not work, you have to delete and redownload it. If anyone knows how to fix this, please help.

It's a pity there's not a 64bit version. This plugin is awesome.
Agreed. This thing looks and sounds great! Would love this to be updated to 64-bit, though. Pleeeease? u.u

Some presets don't work but they seem to be from an earlier version possibly as some modules aren't connected or there's an oscillator missing. Otherwise it works.

I tried all the true modular ones (not the semi modular ones, which comprise most of the "modular" search results) and this one is the best along with Kamioooka. Both of these vstis sound really good for free plugins and they are very lite on cpu. They also offer a decent spread of presets to help you give a starting point to learn and get to know the modules. Will be using this one for years to come.
Hey. Has anyone got this working in Ableton Live 10?
Ableton 10 supports only 64-bit and Sonigen only comes in 32-bit. This is actually the reason I never upgraded Ableton. I love this synth and don't want to go without it...
You can try with J-Bridge for your 32bit plug-in. You can play with 64bit DAW all your old plug-ins

This is so good as Serum and Massive (not kidding), it's professional, not so difficult, has modern and classic sounds, great presets, it's awesome and if you're into any type of pop, trap or electronic music you MUST have this

I can only heartily recommend this fantastic sounding and good looking instrument! I truly hope Sonigen will one fine day resume the developments of this exceptional modular synth!
True, this is a top, professional quality synth. It would be great if the developer would resume and continue its developments.

It boggles the mind that something like this can be free. I feel like I don't deserve it. Thank you so so so much. :)

it's awesome soft-synth, I love it.
I can not get it to work, when installing it will not install a .dll file in my vst forlder.
A little trouble getting this to work at first but kept trying and finally it's ok now. Well worth the effort as this is a high grade virtual modular synth and sounds fab. Thank you Sonigen, you've made a great synth here!

Great freeware plugin modular Synth good sound good optik thank you for the good work!
First off, I find this amazing for a Free Modular synth. Creative possibilities are only limited to your imagination and your ability to learn. Second: Inspiration factor: Presets: Awesome, and to put it simply, TWEAK AWAY AND ADD STUFF. I am using this with Magix Music Maker 2014 as a VST and have had NO problems.
