Sprike is an additive / wavetable synth.
This is an extended variant of Tunefish4, the virtual analog synth originally created by Brain Control.
We made Sprike cooperate more nicely in a MIDI-controlled environment (MIDI sequencers). Following MIDI standards, it responds to bank and program selection messages, master volume and pan controllers. Presets are stored in compliance with operating system conventions. We also added four new MOD sources and enhanced it with an on-screen keyboard. The user interface was enhanced with master volume/pan controls and a level meter. Delay times can be set in terms of note lengths.
Sprike is very lightweight, so you can add 10 or more instances to your project without much impact on CPU load. It has the same expressive and crisp sound as Tunefish and comes with a new bank of factory presets.

Doesn't sound very nice, though more realistic than FM. Sustain pedal not supported.

A very versatile synth it is great for growling basses, piercing leads, soothing pads. Just what I love.

An interesting variant of the mighty Tunefish 4.

This modification of Tunefish 4 sounds very good! I love the sound(s) of both of these softsynths! They can produce very big heavy timbres!

Works fine in Reason 9.5 and above; large UI; look forward to exploring this really pro piece of kit. And even on a Mac, too.

An excellent sounding expansion of Tunefish 4 and also VST3.

Originating from Tunefish4 (TF4), it's a development in the right direction. However, it has not moved very far. At least in FL Studio 12.4/WIN10, 'Generator' parameters are only retained properly with projects (.flp) when you save the modifications in a preset before exiting. So push that 'Save' button inside Sprike to avoid losing your changes. Also, as in TF4, it is easy to inadvertently overwrite factory presets without renaming, so copy the settings to a new preset slot beforehand. Or, as presets are accessible as .txt-files in the folder '[...]ProgramDataCognitoneSprike', you can place a copy of all factory presets into a higher bank to keep them out of harm's way. For example, use Windows Explorer to create a folder and name it 'bank7', which covers preset slots 896 to 1023, then copy/paste .txt-files from 'bank 0'. Moreover, there is a 'README.rtf' file in the subfolder 'tf4programs' outlining how Tunefish4 presets can be imported. The advertised four new MOD sources include inverse forms of LFOs and ADSRs, respectively. Output meter and on-screen keyboard are nice to have. Finally, two bugs to be fixed: 1.) When opening the preset list, the 'down' arrow runs off the screen, making it difficult to access presets with higher numbers from inside Sprike. This might be due to the significantly larger GUI of Sprike compared to TF4. Scalable GUI would be desired. 2.) As in TF4, modulating 'Panning' via the MOD matrix still does not work.

Already a huge improvement over Tunefish 3/4. Enjoying it. Would personally like for mod wheel to be pitch bend/mod wheel to be a map source as well but learn works so no biggie.

Poor boy's and girl's Serum. Like it!
No good if you don't use a monitor or screen that doesn't go full HD

Working as intended on Windows 10, thanks!
