This sounds great. Oberheim is a synth to check out vsts of. This one sounds good and full

I had the 2016 OB-XD software synth but I had a catastrophic computer failure and lost it. I did recover my patch folder from my hard drive. I'm wondering if those patches would be compatible with this version. The 2016 version had no presets as well.

This OBXD synth has a really excellent audio engine with a very analogue sound. Very well done.

Amazing analogue sound!

A great sounding vst, but presets would be helpful.

I have this version of OBXD and DiscoDSP version of the same synth. This version doesn't come with presets. The DiscoDSP version has a ton of presets.
I just tested the DSP version alongside this one and they are sonically the same. The DSP version has a nicer GUI plus a few patches; so that's the one I'm sticking with.
There's a few different versions. There's this one, the DiscoDSP version, Mono/Fury by Full Bucket Music and Chorg Pano/poly by KB Plugs (on his website) KB Plugs and DiscoDSP version are the best IMO followed by Mono/Fury.
Is the Mono/Fury not modeled after the Korg MonoPoly? Whereas OB-Xd is modeling the OB-Xa?
Yeah Mike I think you're right there. My bad.

Warm sounding, but with no presets, I found it a bit run of the mill.

Great sounding easy to use synth, I've used it a lot, easily one of the top free synths ever

Obxd is a top quality VA softsynth, up there with the best freebies PG-8X, Xhip, Tyrell N6, Mausynth, Charlatan. <3 <3 <3

The OBXD is one of the greatest free softsynths ever! <3
Will not validate or recognize in Logic Pro X says downloaded from internet possible malware error
yes where are the sounds at
Can't find any presets ( Ableton 10 )
So i downloaded the synth, but did not find instructions as to where it belongs (folder, etc.). Love the sounds from the demo and want to use real bad. could use some help.
The VST file should go in the VST folder in your DAW -hope that helps...
If your using Reaper, copy the extracted file to PLUGINS and FX to make sure it will appear in your effects.
I don't find the presets !
A good one

Very fat sound!

The OBXD competes with the best commercial softsynths, no doubt. Top quality sound.
Thanks a lot! this is great

An awesome Oberheim emulation!
This is a fat beast. Just downloaded and noodled around with it, this is a keeper for basses and supersaws!

For nice Oberheimish sounds the OBXD is the best free synth so far. 5/5 I hope Mister 2Datsounds will return with a new OBXD, that would be great!!

Couldn't load the presets and the GUI was far too big for my screen (running 1440x900, that should be more than enough).
No problems with the presets (FL Studio & Mixcraft) and well ... The size of the GUI is around 1100 x 450; Should easily fit in your 1440x900 screen
Right click and select "skins", there is one that will appear on the screen.

One of the best free vst on the planet. Use it ALL the time since I dl it. On almost every track. Massive. Just amazing, better than a lot of commercial vst. Beautiful plugin.

Better than efm-ob80.

OBXD has slowly become one of my most-used instruments for recording music. It's one of the best sounding, most versatile virtual analog VST's in my arsenal, which includes a good amount of commercial software. Even if you don't think you need it, you should give this a download anyways.

This is great, really impressed.

Possibly the best analogue polysynth in my collection. From delicate strings to strident leads. It's a beast it is :)
(5 / 5)
Definitely worth using even if you're only using commercial vsti's, this is a top notch.

Simply Incredible. Never thought I'd find something this good for free. Its sound worth hundreds of pounds!

Very nicely executed emulation of the OB-X. It's so fun to work with, I can't seem to leave it alone. XD
